Team /afk,
As the dust settles on our great venture, my eyes travel across the battlefield to see all of your faces. Thank you for your support and for the gifts you lent to our cause. Some of your gave financially while others gave of their time. I honor each and every one of you. In the end, we came up short on our goal but we fought hard and I believe that is the most important thing. Life rewards those who take risk and over the course of the last eight years we have risked it all to bring our film to life. This campaign itself was a carefully calculated risk to determine if our audience was passionate enough to aid us in the final leg of our journey. It was not to be. Nonetheless, our experience with /afk - AWAY FROM KEYBOARD taught us to be filmmakers and those lessons are something that we will continue to use as we work to create more content in the future. Many of you have contacted me to express your concern about our film and our campaign. Thank you for your loyalty and ongoing passion for our endeavor. Please know that this is not the end for /afk - AWAY FROM KEYBOARD. My most steadfast goal remains intact; to get our film into your hands. Only now, I will need to find a more cost-effective way to do so. I'd like to encourage all of you to be extra good in the final weeks of 2012 since you will be receiving a very special gift under your Christmas tree this year. I love surprises, so I will say no more... for now! It's time to move onward; to take the next step in our creative journey. We are satisfied with /afk - AWAY FROM KEYBOARD and the doors it has opened up for us. We are grateful to our fans and loyal supporters who have encouraged us through the years. And we are committed to creating more content to challenge and inspire our audience to action. Over the next few weeks, we at Galaxy Place are working diligently to bring our next big project to fruition. Stay tuned. Loktar Ogar Greg Stuetze |
